Private House in Le Marche Italy with Pool, for Holiday Let
Attractions
Quite
possibly one of the main attractions is that the locals, almost without fail are delightfully friendly and welcoming.
The area is full of exquisite hilltop towns: each a little gem and every one containing architectural,
historic, religious or artistic treasures: even the smallest having at least a
bar if not a good restaurant. The coast provides numerous good
beaches, beach bars and restaurants and nightclubs at the many seaside resorts.
The freshness and quality of the food is a particular feature of Italy in general and Le Marche in particular and it is still relatively inexpensive even when served in restaurants. The coastal restaurants are renowned for their seafood, where, in most cases, it is literally the days catch; whilst meat is more generally available inland.
There are equestrian facilities at Il Villino - a short ride away. This also houses a good local restaurant.
The area is criss-crossed by walks and bridle paths across largely unspoilt countryside.
Most
villages have festivals (sagre) celebrating every variety of food; each one
celebrating a particular delicacy from castagne to carciofi and pesce to pomodori,
where everyone can eat and drink very well for very little, often under sun or
stars. The atmosphere is typically Italian; bustling, noisy and friendly.
There are many local markets on various days of the week and in the larger towns
a plethora of good shops is to be found.
The area is renowned for its factory outlets (shoes, clothes, leather) where
goods from well known fashion houses can be bought at huge discounts
Armani, Tods etc
